About the Film

TRUE ADOLESCENTS  is an upcoming feature film by Writer/Director Craig Johnson in collaboration with Producer Thomas Woodrow and Executive Producer Gill Holland (SWEETLAND, LOGGERHEADS).

It tells the story of Sam Bryant, an aging Seattle rocker whose life has fallen apart. Forced to move in with his suburban aunt, he agrees to take her troubled teenage son and the boy’s best friend on a hiking trip to the ocean. When the boys become desperately lost in the woods, Sam must take every possible measure to ensure the rag-tag trio arrives home in one piece.

The role of Sam will be played by Mark Duplass, who starred in the THE PUFFY CHAIR, a recent Sundance and SXSW favorite that he made with his brother, Jay. TRUE ADOLESCENTS will be shot on Super 16mm by Cinematographer Kat Westergaard (forthcoming features include DAY ON FIRE and LIFE IS HOT IN CRACKTOWN). Production is slated to begin in Seattle and Washington State in August 2007.
